Such a beautiful store with the most lovely atmosphere! From their delicious sweets and spices to the wide variety of nuts, there was so much to explore. We had such a great time shopping and then relaxing with our pistachio lattes. The Japanese cheesecake was absolutely perfect. Everything about this place was wonderful, and I truly loved the vibes here. Definitely looking forward to coming back again! ☺️✨

Hashem’s 1959 in Sterling Heights is one of the best Arabic gourmet stores and Middle Eastern markets I have visited. The store is absolutely beautiful inside, very clean, well organized, and filled with an incredible selection of Turkish coffee, nuts, spices, confections, desserts, chocolates, and specialty imported products. You can tell a lot of care went into every detail, from the elegant layout to the café and dessert displays. What makes this location stand out even more is the café. Unlike the other locations in Dearborn and Dearborn Heights, this one has a café, and it is truly exceptional. The barista is phenomenal, trained in Italy, and it shows. I have never had a matcha latte this good, and the cappuccino was rich, smooth, and full of flavor. Everything tasted premium and carefully made. The staff was amazing, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. Hussein the manager is especially impressive, professional, educated, and clearly passionate about the products in the store. I also loved that many of their products, including the Dubai chocolate bar, are from Lebanon, which adds to the authenticity and quality. This place is beautiful! It has so many high quality ingredients and I like that the people who work in the shop are so knowledgeable about their products and ingredients. I had the pistachio knafeh and king karak chai which were both beautifully scented with rose, cardamom and saffron. Being in their cafe area, sipping such delightful treats were so soothing to the soul. I will definitely be back and will be telling people as well as bringing guests back with me.

Great sweets and drinks! The vibes are calm and pretty. They give some great samples like olive oil, sweets like Dubai chocolate, baklava, and Turkish delight so you can try before buying. I would definitely recommend!

​I recently visited Hashems 1959 in Sterling Heights and was absolutely delighted with the experience. The moment you walk in, the atmosphere is incredibly welcoming. The decoration is beautiful and creates a very nice, inviting space. ​The quality of the offerings truly stands out. The food is very nice—everything tasted fresh and authentic. Crucially for a place specializing in Middle Eastern ingredients, the quality and variety of their spices, nuts, and prepared items are exceptional. ​As a coffee lover, I can confirm the coffee is nice and clearly made with expertise. It’s the perfect place to grab a traditional Turkish coffee or try one of their unique, signature beverages. ​Finally, the logistics were fantastic. The location is very convenient, with parking a lot easily accessible, which always makes a quick stop or a longer visit stress-free. ​Hashems 1959 is a must-visit spot in Sterling Heights for great Middle Eastern products, delicious food, and a fantastic cafe atmosphere. Highly recommended!
